Motherboard repair
Most shops replace a failed board. We repair it at component level under the microscope: shorted capacitors, failed power chips, damaged connectors and corroded tracks.
It costs less than a new board, and on Macs and many modern laptops the board holds your data, so repairing it is how the files come back.

Questions we get asked
What does basic and complex board repair mean?
Basic (£185 + VAT) covers straightforward faults like a failed power component. Complex (from £450 + VAT) covers liquid damage, graphics chips and faults that take hours to trace.
Can you repair a board other shops said was dead?
Often, yes. We work at component level, so we replace the failed part rather than the whole board.
Will I lose my files?
Board repair doesn’t touch your data. On models with soldered storage, it is the way to get your files back.
