Keyboard and trackpad repair
Keyboards fail from spills, crumbs and wear. On many laptops the keyboard is riveted into the palmrest, so the whole top case is replaced, which is what the higher prices cover.
MacBooks from 2016 to 2019 have butterfly keyboards that are known for sticking and repeating keys. We see them every week.

Questions we get asked
Can you fix just one key?
Sometimes. If the key mechanism is broken and we can get the part, we replace just that key. If the keyboard itself has failed, it needs replacing.
My keyboard stopped working after a spill. What should I do?
Switch it off straight away, don’t charge it, and get it to us. Liquid can reach the board below the keyboard.
How much is a MacBook keyboard?
From £295 + VAT, because the keyboard comes as part of the top case.
