Data recovery, repairs and upgrades for the Apple MacBook Air (late 2008 and 2009), model number A1304, the 2008–2009 MacBook, with a 13.3-inch screen. Most of the older computers we see now come in for the photos and files on them: even after years in a drawer, the data is usually still there. Getting your files back

The Apple MacBook Air (late 2008 and 2009) uses a 1.8-inch drive with a fragile ZIF ribbon connector. We remove it carefully and read it with a ZIF adapter; if the drive itself has failed, it is opened in the clean-air cabinet like any other hard drive.

What it costs

  • Free first consultation
  • Deleted or lost files on a healthy drive: £99 + VAT
  • Clicking or dead drive: clean room diagnostic £79 + VAT, then £450 + VAT plus a donor drive if needed
  • Your files back on a new external drive, or copied to your new computer
